I think this is a serious misjudgement on the part of Dubai Municipality, Equestrian Activities in all Disciplines are part of the Life Blood of the U.A.E. led by the Wonderfull Example set by our Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which makes Dubai Municipality,s decision very difficult to Understand, therefore I strongly support your Petition.

Thank you for taking the time to write in, Gilbert – you’re right, horses should be treasured and we’re very touched by the support we’ve received so far for our petition.

This is a travesty. I have not ridden since being in UAE but adore horses. I am hoping that the stables do not close as there is too much to lose for eveyone involved. I have posted on Facebook and am encouraging all my friends to sign. Good Luck xx

Thanks so much for your support, Jo – make sure you get along for a ride and see what all the fuss is about. Or just come over with a fistful of carrots!

I strongly support your petition and am in complete shock by the news! There is nothing like this establishment in the UAE and it is a crying shame that you are subject to a shut down. I have witnessed the true devotion and care that your staff put into the establishment, along with its cleanliness and it is a wonderful addition to an otherwise waste of land. I will pass on your message and I hope that you get the numbers you require to stop this injustice. Should you need further support please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am an event manager there maybe some kind of live comms event to help activate your cause.

Thanks Jodie – it’s this level of feeling and support which is so important to us. The petition is still going and we hope we will get to present it to the relevant people before too long!

I was very surprised when I saw photos on your website of ladies riding horses wearing singlet tops. I am a westerner living in UAE since nearly 10 years, riding and competing. I try to respect the local culture and religious values and wear clothing to cover up as much as possible. Even outdoors in 40 + temperature it is possible to cover up by wearing light weight long sleeve loose clothing or at minimum a loss fitting t-shirt that covers your shoulders.

If you are trying to gain as much public support as possible to safe your stables maybe you should consider what images you display on your site and what clothing is acceptable to wear in your stables.

      Hi Sarah
Thanks for your feedback and apologies for the delay in replying. If our photo selection has offended you or anyone, we wish to say that was never our intention. We request that our clients wear suitable riding attire at all times, and on some occasions we have refused to let people ride in what they had on, but beyond that it is not up to us to monitor what someone chooses to wear in a public park. Thankfully though, the vast majority of riders choose to dress in both a practical and a respectful fashion!
